Meet Bethany Sullivan

Owner of Sullivan Health Care Solutions

Bethany’s benefits journey began in the 1990's while working in the corporate employee benefits field.  There she realized the challenges and anxiety employees faced as they retired from their employer-sponsored plans and were left navigating the complex Medicare health care system alone.

That’s when she began to explore possibilities...

Bethany discovered a small niche for retiree health insurance and specifically a strong desire to offer knowledgeable, customer-oriented, honest, and sincere insight into a complicated system. Her corporate background prepared her in several ways: she has a service mindset, she makes technical terms easy to understand, and she leads with unparalleled service.

Meet the Family Behind the Business

Bethany Sullivan

Bethany, SHRM-CP, GBA, has a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. She has her SHRM Certified Professional credential through the Society of Human Resource Management, the largest national human resources association. Bethany earned a Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation through both the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of Business. She is also trained with the American Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), a national health insurance trade association. Bethany is particularly passionate about helping the underserved and disabled communities both in her professional and personal lives. As a member of the Senior Cohort Group, an appointment made by Mayor Bob Magnus of Oconomowoc (her hometown), the committee focuses on improving the lives of seniors and the disabled community through improving safety, accessibility, and transportation. Their work on providing a new accessible kayak launch and Hoyer Lift, located at Fowler Lake in Oconomowoc, will provide access to the outdoors for the paralyzed and disabled community. This dock is the only accessible kayak launch in a county where there are more than 80 lakes.

Bethany also does advocacy work for Unite 2 Fight Paralysis, a national organization that advocates for innovations in research and public policy to bring curative therapies for spinal cord injury.

Bethany is a widow and her greatest joy is being a mother to two children; she splits her time between supporting her son who studies data science at UW Madison and her daughter, a mechanical engineering student at Marquette University in Milwaukee. She loves to spend time with family and friends and in her free time she enjoys traveling and anything that takes her outdoors - kayaking, hiking, biking and scuba diving.
